Gentle Wind Project Lawsuit Dismissed
Censorship I have received news from Jim Bergin and Judy Garvey that the lawsuit that was filed against them by the Gentle Wind Project (GWP) in federal court has been dismissed. Jim and Judy are former members of GWP. After leaving the group, they put up a website. GWP took exception to some of the things that they wrote and sued them and several other people who have websites that have information on GWP. GWP filed the lawsuit in federal court in Portland Maine. GWP invoked the RICO statute in this lawsuit.

This decision was a huge success for Judy and Jim. But I think it was also very important for former Jehovah's Witnesses who have websites where they talk about their experience with the Watchtower. If you go to Jim and Judy's website you can find the text of the lawsuit that was filed against them. Read the suit and imagine what might happen if GWP had prevailed in this suit and if the Watchtower had filed a similar suit against all the former JWs who have websites.

Congratulations to Jim and Judy.
