An annual observance of the death of Jesus Christ. Jehovah’s Witnesses observe this on the day that corresponds to the 14th day of the Jewish month of Nisan. During this observance, a talk is given followed by the passing of bread and wine, similar to Communion in Christian churches. The difference is that only those Witnesses who claim to be one of the 144,000 partake of the bread and wine. Those who are not part of the 144,000 do not partake and just pass the bread and wine on the next person.
