A position of leadership among Jehovah’s Witnesses similar to a deacon in some Christian Churches. Ministerial servants do a lot of the logistical work in the local congregations such as manning the magazine and book counters, caring for territory assignments, cleaning and maintaining the Kingdom Hall. They also share in some of the teaching. Serving as a ministerial servant is often a step to becoming an elder. All elders must serve some time as a ministerial servant.
