An active Jehovah’s Witness, one who submits a monthly Field Service Report.

Only publishers are actually counted as Jehovah’s Witnesses. Missing between one and  five months of reporting field service time and literature placements results in the publisher being classified as “irregular.” A publisher who does not report for six consecutive months is classified as “inactive” and is no longer counted as a Jehovah’s Witness.

Normally one must report time and literature placements for at least a few months as an unpbaptized publisher before being baptized.
